2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Augusta M. Leach Hood
I have a group of 7 photographs which I'm told where all from the HOOD Family of Illinois. The photographs in this group are as follows:
1 - Lettie HOOD HARRIS, taken at Mrs. Reed Studio in Quincy, IL, 1880's, in her teens
2 - Augusta HOOD wife of Bob HOOD Sr., taken at the F. C. Bernard Studio in Quincy, IL, 1890's, in her 40's or 50's
3 - Unidentified Family, taken in 1880's, two parents in 50's, and children in teens or 20's, believe the young woman is Lettie HOOD in photo #1
4 - Unidentified young man, taken at Grand Studio in Quincy, IL, 1890's or 1900's, in his teens
5 - Group of 4 young people, 2 females and 2 males, taken at Reed Studio in Quincy, IL, all wearing flowers may be graduation, 1890's, all in teens or 20's, one man maybe the same young man in photo #4 and one young woman may be Lettie HOOD in photo #1
6 - Unidentified boy taken at Reed Studio in Quincy, IL, 1890's, about 6 years old
7 - Unidentified girl, taken at Bernard Studio in Quincy, IL, 1890's or early 1900's, about 3 years old.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the family:
Lettie HOOD was b. 3 May 1871 in Payson, IL to parents James HOOD (1838-1923) and Julia E. NICHOLSON (1840-1919) who were married 1 Jun 1865 in Adams County, IL. Lettie had one sibling, a brother William HOOD (1866-1910). Lettie married John W. HARRIS (1870-1929) on 22 Dec 1889 in Payson, IL and they had two children, a daughter Florence J. HARRIS (1892-1969) and a son Charles “Charley” W. HARRIS (1894-1953). Lettie died 31 Dec 1948 in Payson, IL and is buried in the Payson New Cemetery in Payson, IL.
Augusta M. LEACH was b. 14 Feb 1846 in Fort Madison, IA, her father was O. LEACH and she married Robert HOOD (1834-1913) in 1879. They had one son, Joseph E. HOOD (b. 1865). Augusta died in 1928 and is also buried in the Payson New Cemetery in Payson, IL.
I am hoping to get this group of photographs back to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.
Thanks,
Shelley
