Willie Yablon (Wolf Jabłonkiewicz)
Willie Yablon was born in Częstochowa and lived at Aleja 8. He is the son of Berisz and Chawa née Fiszhof. In 1926, he left Częstochowa and came to Canada, where he settled in Montreal. In 1930, he married Adela Goldberg, a native of Łódź. They have three children - two sons and a daughter. He stems from a family, which was renowned in Częstochowa for its communal activities. Over the course of all the years, until the outbreak of the Second World War, he was in continuous correspondence with his family and landsleit in Częstochowa. Then, all correspondence and contact with the countries occupied and annexed by Hitler’s regime was cut off and, also obviously, with his hometown of Częstochowa. Willie Yablon searched for an opportunity to aid the Częstochowa survivors. Therefore, along with other respected landsleit, he helped establish the Czenstochover and Vicinity Aid Society of Montreal and held the position of Chairman of the Relief Committee. He performed his duties and tasks with great devotion and selflessness. Willie Yablon is one of the Society’s Seniors and is always prepared for any call to assist the Society organisationally and financially.

Predeceased by his brothers Leib and Isidor. Brother-in-law of the late Simon Goldberg, Rose Goldberg (the late Harry), Lou Goldberg (Betty) and Diane Brooks (the late Josh), Sara and (the late Max), and especially devoted cousins Manny and Gladys Weigensberg. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West, on Monday, November 8 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Farban Labour Zionist Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5885 Cavendish Boul., apt. 812. Wife of the late Willie Yablon, daughter of the late Shaya and Helen Goldberg, sister of Lou Goldberg and Diane Brooks, and the late Simon Goldberg and Harry Goldberg. In her 100th year, Adela Yablon passed away on May 19th, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves a beautiful legacy: her family, Isadore Yablon (Ruby), Orlando, FL, David Yablon, Montreal, Brenda Yablon, Vancouver. Survived by four grandchildren, Brian Yablon (Laurie), Portland, OR, Corrie Yablon (Patrick), Ann Arbor, MI, Jessica Frein (Mark), Austin, TX and Richard Rabkin (Talia), Toronto, ON. Survived by five great- grandchildren: Benjamin, Jonathan and Will Yablon, Ezra and Noa Rabkin, and Fiona Frein. Special thanks to her caregivers, Jean and Cynthia, and the staff of 7W at the Jewish General Hospital. Adela lived a full and rich life, and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. ISADORE GERALD YABLON
Isadore "Red" Yablon, z'l, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Feb. 21, 2021, at the age of 87 in Portland. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Rachel (Jones) Yablon; his son, Brian (Laurie Libenson) of Portland; his daughter, Dr. Corrie Yablon (Dr. Patrick O'Brien) of Ann Arbor, Mich.; grandsons, Ben Yablon (Miriam Clayman) of Israel, Jonny Yablon and Will Yablon; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Yablon of Vancouver and Tel Aviv (Jessica and Richard). He was predeceased by his brother, David.
Funeral arrangements were through Holman's Funeral Services, Portland, Oregon. A private funeral took place at Kesser Israel Cemetery, Feb. 22, 2021

David "Duddie" Yablon passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in his eighty-second year. Son of the late Wolf "Willie" and the late Adela (nee Goldberg) Yablon. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Isadore "Red" and Ruby (nee Jones) Yablon, and Brenda Yablon. Doting uncle of Brian and Laurie Yablon, Corrie Yablon and Patrick O'Brien, Jessica and Mark Frein, Richard and Talia Rabkin. Loving great uncle to his many great nieces and great nephews. Duddie will be remembered for his unfailing willingness to make life better for those less fortunate than he was.

Brother-in-law of the late Simon Goldberg, Rose Goldberg (the late Harry), Lou Goldberg (Betty) and Diane Brooks (the late Josh), Sara and (the late Max), and especially devoted cousins Manny and Gladys Weigensberg. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. West, on Monday, November 8 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Farban Labour Zionist Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5885 Cavendish Boul., apt. 812.
