Ralph Married Agnes Marie Eiche on November 10,1923, in Toledo, Ohio. Ralph was born in Lafayette ohio, and Agnes was born In lima Ohio. From what my grandfather told me it was love at first site.
Well they were both too young to marry, so they went to Toledo and lied about their age.
Iam not sure what year they moved to Michigan but they had live in a few different places before they bought land on Douglas road in Temperance, Michigan. They had lost a daughter name lois Marie due to accidental drug overdose.
But that did not stop them from going on with their lives.
As I was told Ralph purchased the land on Douglas road in the 1930's. On this land was apple trees and peach and I think pear trees too.
As Ralph and Agnes raised their family, and as their family grew their children of course help with the care of the orchard.
And as far as I was told , the orchard was pretty successful, Until Ralph became Ill with heart problems and suffered several heart attacks over the coming years.
As Their Children growed up and began to marry., Ralph decided to split the land in equal portions for his Four sons and one daughter to have to build their own homes on to raise their families.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I and my three brothers went to live with Ralph and agnes wingate when i was about 2 or 3 yrs old and our mother came to live with us later.
But Ralph and Agnes raised me and my brothers without blinking an eye, because they new it was the right thing to do, so we would not be seperated.
So we grew up on this little road in michigan called wingate drive. and I loved every minute of it, well most of it anyway... it was fun growing up with all of my cousins as neighbors.
We had alot fun and made alot of good memories.
