- lived Normanton St. and was a Mill hand cotton lass.in a lace factory. Migrated to Australia 27th Sep 1852 arriving PortPhillip 3rd Jan 1853 with her parents Thomas and Mary Anne and brothers William, Charles and Arthur Heny on the Ben Nevis. Married 11th Dec 1854 at St Andrews, Brighton, aus and died st July 1931 in Ballarat, Victoria, Aus.

Maryland State Police identified the victim as Delores Juanita Welsh, 50, of RD 8 box 260, Valley RD. A spokesman said the Buick Century was traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident occurred.
Trooper Larry Tracy, who investigated the crash, said the vehicle came to rest about 20 feet from the highway in a field.

My dad has the names and serial numbers of several KIV and JIV soldiers he remembers.
I remembered all the old army and war stories my father told me. He joined the Jamaica Infantry Volunteers (JIV), a militia unit, September 1944, and later, the Jamaica Regiment, First Battalion. Most of the older men that visited my parents' home (before my dad's passing in 2007) are old soldiers, who "never die, they just fade away."
