History

The surname Styron is Anglo-Saxon in origin. It is derived from "Styr," or “Styrr,” the name of an ancient Scandinavian Viking dynasty. The descendants of this line were prominent in England during the time of Danish rule, settling primarily in Yorkshire, and adopted Styron as a hereditary surname years later, eventually in the year 1914, a Russian man by the name of Wolf Styron Emigrated to Mobile, Alabama, and that’s where most of the Styron Bloodline is now.

Name Origin

The surname means “Brawl,” or “Quarrel,“ and in some cases “Noise.” The bloodline is believed to be descended from the Swedish Viking King Styrbjörn Olafsson (or Styrbjörn The Strong) who was a direct descendant of Ragnar Lothbrok from Ragnar’s eldest son, Björn Ironside, which makes the Styron Bloodline direct descendants of Ragnar Lothbrok.

My name is Nadah Maryam Valadanzouj, and I'm proud to be a Styron. Ever since I was little, I knew that the Styrons were important, but I never knew how important. The Styrons are descendants of every royal family family in Europe. My grandmother, Mary Styron Barth Collins had our family history researched, and what she found out was that the Styrons are modern day royals. We come from the exiled side of the British royal family, and unfortunately, none of us will ever inherit the throne unless we marry into the ruling family. I always felt that I was a princess, even when I was little, and I'm so happy to have proof that shows that I, along with all the Styrons, are royal.
