When moving, the logs and chimney had to be numbered and put back exactly. Oda Eagleson McKay as a child visited her grandparents often at the cabin at Mano. Little remains of the original cabin except the important logs and fireplace.

George Stever built this cabin at Mano, Mo. near White River. The family first lived in a lean-to with a blanket for a front door while building this 16 X 18 foot cabin. The cabin later was moved to Cassville, Mo. and now is located on the Netherland Farm near Fairland, Oklahoma.
