Blanche's father was William T Cobb Sr, born 1858, and her mother was Suzanna "Susan" " Annie" Anderson (1869 - 1903). She had siblings Wallace and William, and half siblings Peter and Joseph.

A death certificate was issued for Lois Anderson on January 7, 1918, in Galveston Texas. The cause of death was scarlet fever. Her father was Charles Anderson, whose father was born in Norway. Her mother was Blanche Cobb, whose mother was born in Kansas. Lois was 4 years old when she died.
In the 1930 federal census, Blanches (37) was widowed and living with her "sister" (sic), Walace (sic) (35). Also in the household was Charles Anderson (14), "a roomer". They were living in Galveston. Blanche could read and write but didn't attend school. She said that her father had been born in Germany, as had her mother. She, her sister, and Charles were all office clerks for the railroad.
On his draft card for World War II dated October 16 1940, Charles Wallace Anderson, born 01/15/1916, lived in Galveston Texas with Mrs. Blanche Sprague, his mother and next of kin. Charles was 24 at the time and working for Lykes Bros Steamship Co. He was 5 ft 11.5 inches, weighed 170 pounds, had gray eyes, brown hair, and a ruddy complexion.
In the 1950 federal census, Blanche was 57 and divorced. She was living in Galveston on her own and working 48 hours per week.
