Young man of about 20 years of age in what we believe to be a Norwegian uniform? Can anyone idenitfy this man, my uncle, as SOREN SORENSEN of Mjondalen, Norway? Oldest son of Josephine and Peder Sorensen. Born December 8, 1886. Died April 17, 1916. Have been told he died in San Diego, California, but can find no info or death certificate in California. May not have died there. Looking for any info on him and on place of death and where buried. Also, an identification that this is, in fact, a Norwegian uniform.

A photo of 4 generations of the Sorensen family. The baby is my grandfather's brother who died in a sailing accident. It also shows his father, grandfather and g-grandfather (my ggg-grandfather). The photograph was taken after March 1918 and before July 1919. The man standing, Soren Christensen Sorensen, died within a year of this photograph. His father, Christen Sorensen, lived until 1926, to the age of 90.

I have a Christmas card from Lars Sorensen from about 1920 it is sent from Algone (Algona?) in Iowa - He is my father's uncle, born 13th february 1869 in Albaek, Hjorring, Denmark. He went to USA about 1900. He was married to Ida Pehrson about 1894.
