Historians have reason to believe that it was the Ramagnano Family were the first mafia related family, to bring the lifestyle to the States. Historian Edward Pallionia stated, “When John Gotti (Gambino Crime Boss) bows to Tony (Anthony) Ramagnano, history may need to think long and hard about a re-write”. He went on to say, “The Ramagnano Family played smart, and maintained a successful life outside of the public eye. They were protected by notorious crime families, and we know for a fact that at least two Ramagnano family members were present at every meeting of the families”.
