My father (deceased) William Arnell Pridgen, who was born in Maysville, NC, on November 11, 1910. He worked for the Sun Oil Company as a Master Mariner and sailed to such places as Venezuela and Saudi Arabia. He died April 7, 1986, in Springfield, PA. He loved the water and was a Scorpio. He is sorely missed!

James Dale "Jimmy" Pridgen was born to Jimmie Dee Pridgen (1916 - 1968) and Eugania Elizabeth "Gayna" Tuck (1923 - 2009). He had sibling Jerri Ann Pridgen (1945 - 2020).
Jimmy Pridgen married Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Davenport (1945 - 2004 on January 1, 1962 in Colin County, Texas, and they had one son.
He then married on Marvh 5, 1966, and they didn't have children. In 1971, they divorced. Another marriage occured on December 26, 1974 in Aransas County Texas and they divorced about a year later.
Jimmy then married Sherry Patricia Holliday (1945 - 2001) on November 25, 1976 and they divorced on February 20, 1979. Jimmy didn't give up and married again on December 14, 1980 and they divorced on September 11, 1911.
James Dale Pridgen was a former deputy in the Aransas County sheriff's department and a former member of the United States Air Force who was charged in the robbery of a bank. He was arrested in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, by Mexican police. A butcher knife was found in his pocket.
He was charged with entering the First National Bank in Rockport, Texas and telling the vice-president of the bank that he had two firearms. He demanded $30,000. However, none of the bank employees reported seeing a weapon. Jimmy left with the VP and the VP's car, let the man go unharmed, and fled to Mexico.
