Harry E. Postler's father was Arthur Postler, born 1896 in New Jersey and his mother was Hedwig Postler (about 1900 - 1981), born in Ireland. He had one sister, Virginia, and a half-sibling, John Tucholski.
In 1940, eleven year old Harry was living with his parents in Detroit Michigan on Perkins Street and attending 5th grade. Besides Arthur, 44, and Hedwig, 40, older sister Virginia, 14, was also at home. Dad was a shipping clerk in "enameling small parts".
Harry was a veteran of World War II, serving as a gunner's mate, 3rd class, in the United States Navy during the war.
He married Marion LaLonde Postler (1928 - 2008) on July 2, 1949, in Detroit Michigan and they eventually had six children: Sherry, Richard, Daniel, Karen, Kelly, and Keith. When Harry died, he was survived by his wife, Marion, and 17 grandchildren. Harry E Postler: Obituary
