Myron Theodore Pegula was born to Andrew Pegula and Anna Chekan (1890 - 1966). His parents were both born in Czechoslovakia. He had siblings George Pegula (1913 - 1993) and Andrew, Anna, Martha, Mary, Melvine, and Madolyn Pegula. His mother and father were born in Slovakia (Czechoslovakia). Myron Pegula married Eloise Evelyn DeCavage (1924 - 2005) on October 31, 1942 and they had a daughters, Evelyn and Wendy and a son, Terrance Pegula. Myron and Eloise were married for 51 years, until Myron died at home after becoming ill. Their son, "Terry" is the owner of Pegula Sports and Entertainment and owns the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL and the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. He also has interests in natural gas, real estate, and entertainment. A long way from a father who worked as a truck driver in coal mining and a school janitor.
