Frank NILES
I have in my possession an old photograph identified as Frank NILES which was taken at the H. R. Buser Studio in Cedar Rapids, IA sometime in the 1880's. Frank appears to be in his 20's at the time it was taken. In addition to his name someone has written "Dad bunk mate in company H 6 Iowa Cavelery". Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Frank and his family:

My brother, Milton Niles, at the Adrian, Michigan Army Recruiting office where I was recruiting at the time, We were located at the lLenawee Hotel' s side door.My boss, the Zone Commander and others worked to bring Milton and the two children home from Viet Nam after his wife was killed by a drunk driver in Germany. I had the most wonderful bosses that any one could possibly ask for.. They were a pleasure to work for.
