Friedrich (Frederick, Fred) Meisekothen came to Wisconsin in 1848 from his home country. He owned a store and was postmaster in Lima, Wisconsin. He later moved to Sheboygan on 9th Street next to the Lutheran Church. He married Genevieve Stahl and had a son August and a daughter Emma. He died in Sheboygan circa 1895.
