This picture has the eldest one is my Great Grandmother Cynthia Caroline Kline McSorley she was the youngest in the 1st picture. Sitting next to her is her elldest daughter Caroline Ruth McSorley Smith, her daughter is behind her oldest Cynthia Ann Smith Sneve nest to her is me her oldest Stephanie Markham Sneve Boissevain and on my Great Grandma's lap is my eldest Shayla Julia Sneve Chrisp. So all together it is 8 generations of eldest daughters who were born from Nov 19 1850-Nov 14 1988.

Old black and white photo. Mcsorley or mcsurley
This was found in my great, grandmother's photo album. It has no names or dates on back and nothing about the photographer. She married a Hensley but her maiden name was Merritt. Her mother's maiden name was McSorley/McSurley, but had been previously married to a Neal. She was born and live in Lawrence County, KY until 1885. I also have a picture of the woman on the left who has her hand on the other woman taken at the same place about the same time with 2 girls. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks.
This was found in my great, grandmother's photo album. It has no names or dates on back and nothing about the photographer. She married a Hensley but her maiden name was Merritt. Her mother's maiden name was McSorley/McSurley, but had been previously married to a Neal. She was born and live in Lawrence County, KY until 1885. A Catherine McSorley/Rodgers b. abt 1834 (no ida where Rodgers originated) married in 1851 in Melbourne a Henry William Field. She either came from the UK or as her daughter Catherine's b.1853 birth certificate says was born in Ireland. She had 3 or 5 children in Australia. Catherine also spend some time in Connecticut? Her granddaughter's face is not unlike the ones of the women in your photos. I wonder if they are related. They were a travelling kind so anything is possible. No birth or death about Catherine 1834 herself is to be found. A real mystery woman.
