I loved Robert. He was a great man. Very caring and giving and he loved his 2 sons so, so, SO, VERY much. He also of course loved his wife (2nd wife) Barbara Jo McPeek and his 2 grandsons Devin and Daniel McPeek. Robert Eugene McPeek loaf his first son Shannon Joseph “Joe-Mac” McPeek in March 2009. Robert Eugene passed away a little over a year after his first son “Joe-Mac” went to the Lord.
He left behind many brothers and sisters and tons a family who loved him. I’ll try to list his brothers and sisters and other family members later.
I was married to his younger son, “Rob” Robert Virgil McPeek and I was pregnant with my first child with Robert’s youngest son- “Rob” (Robert) Virgil McPeek.
Robert Eugene McPeek sadly missed the birth of his grandson, “R.J.” Robert Joseph McPeek on October 17th, 2010. My first son was name after the late Robert Eugene McPeek and the late Shannon Jospeh McPeek.
Robert Eugene also missed the birth of his 4 grandson, Andrew Thomas McPeek on February 21st, 2013.
The late Robert Eugene McPeek had lost his oldest son while he was living. Then the the gut wrenching loss of my Husband, which was Robert Eugene McPeeks youngest and last living son - (“Rob” Robert Virgil McPeek) passes away March 3rd, 2018 from
Complications of the flu/pneumonia. My husband Rob Virgil McPeek left behind 4 sons. 2 sons with me and 2 older sons from a previous marriage. Rob Virgil and I had been highs school sweethearts and separated in our late 20’s and he married and had 2 children Devin and Daniel McPeek. Then Rob Called me 2 days before his brother passed away suddenly. We hadn’t talked in about 5-7 years and I get a random phone call from my one true love and it was sadly just days before the sudden death of his older brother which took us all by surprise. I was saddened to meet up with Rob Virgil again after so many years - at his brother funeral. That’s not at all how we planned to meet up when we talked those 2 days before getting the tragic news of his brother’s (Shannon Joseph “Joe-Mac” McPeek’s) sudden passing.
Robert Eugene McPeek was a VERY hard worker and he could work circles around anyone in the Mechanical Plumbing Business. He worked on Commercial Buildings and he right both his sons his trade. Both of his sons had security clearance to work on the Military Bases in and around NC and SC. Robert Eugene was genuine, kind, funny, and he could be blunt speaking at times, but he was never offensive. He’d have given the world and more to his 2 sons. The love he had for his sons was undeniable. BIG LOVE! Robert liked his Bud Light and his Winston Cigarettes and his hobby/passion on his free time was taking a cool ride on his Harley Davidson. He loved his Harley. But he loved his sons and family more than anything. Robert was a man of God when he passed away. I know he believed in the Good Lord above.
Robert Eugene McPeek was married first to Bivian Sue (Phipps) McPeek and his 2 sons were made and had by his first lovely wife, Sue McPeek. Robert Eugene and Sue got divorced and Robert Eugene remarried Barbara Joe McPeek. They did not have any children together. Robert Eugene left behind his devastated wife, Barbara Jo McPeek and his youngest sons and brothers and sister and aunts and uncles and so much family that was also devastated by his passing. (I’ll try to list the rest of his family members when I can.)
Robert Eugene was with me and his youngest son Robert just days before his passing. We even took Robert Eugene to one of old high school buddies party and he drank some Heineken that night at the party and he enjoyed himself and the he took us out to eat afterwards. We spent a very nice 3 days with him.. and drive back to North Carolina where we lived at the time. And just like 2 days later we get the tragic call that no one ever wants to get. We get the unbelievable news that Robert Eugene has passed away. This was also a shock to everyone who loved Robert Eugene McPeek.
I will add more to To wrt Eugene McPeek’s Bio when I have more time. I’m hoping to get the rest of his family members listed and add more info about RJ wrt Eugene’s Life. I have taken many MANY pics of Robert Eugene over the years, so I can post some great pics later, as well.
