Dan worked for a whisky distillor and travelled between New York and Philadelphia. According to family history there was an Aunt in Philadelphia with whom Dan stayed. All was great for these young emigrants until Michael was fatally injured in a trolley car accident on December 16, 1913. Daniel remained with Kate for a short time after Michaels' death. It is thought that Dan was rejected as a suitor by Kate and left the home at 124 West 83rd Street in NYC, never to be heard from again by any of the many members of his large family both in NY and Ireland. His disappearence has always been the family mystery and one we would like very much to solve.
Anyone out there who can shed some light on Daniel's mystery, please contact me. It will bring to rest the
longing to find a dear family member that has exisited since 1913.
