AddHistory
Larum is the name of a complex of farms near Sande, Vestfold, Norway, southwest of Oslo. The Ost (east) Larum, Mellum (middle) Larum, and Vest (west) Larum farms. People who lived on those farms identified themselves by designating the farm after their surname, such as Hans Engebretsen (of) Larum. When these farm residents emigrated to the United States, they dropped their Norwegian surnames and used the name "Larum" as their last names.
