Donald Joslin Sr. of Kansas United States was born on March 9, 1876 in Guilford, Nodaway County, MO. He was in a relationship with Audrey (Brien) Partelow, and had a child Louis Joslin. Lilyan Joslin was buried at Camellia Memorial Lawn, in Sacramento.

Rusty is best remembered for the Homicide Hunter Lockdown tv show on Investigation Discovery which highlights his life. An article published in the Colorado Springs Gazette Telegraph Newspaper on July 24th 1993 covers some of the details of Rusty's death on July 22nd. Police Lt. Larry Kastner authorized officers to shoot and kill 32 year old Rusty A. Joslin after he fired on at least three officers on July 22nd. Rusty was shot once in the chest by 8 year police veteran Andy James and died three hours later at Memorial Hospital. Toxicology tests later reported Joslin's blood alcohol leval was a .172. The 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office determined police acted appropriately, but even so, the commander of the police, Larry Kastner, was quoted as saying "I feel terrible for his wife and children. I've relived this thing about 100 times. What I could have possible done different? I haven't come up with an answer." Friends and acquaintances of Joslin were interviewed and were in shock. A coworker of Rusty's at Performance Trucking, Sharmon Quintana said "I freaked. I just can't believe it." and described Rusty as a peaceful man and loving husband and father. She said "When he was at work yesterday morning at 6:30, he was just fine. We got in our dump trucks and went our separate ways. Then I heard on the two-way (radio) he was going home because he felt sick." The ordeal began at around 11am Thursday when Rusty began firing shots outside him in in the 2300 block of Robin Drive. Police were called just before 2pm and officers arrived with a warrant to search Rusty's home. The first officer who arrived, J.R. Scott walked up to Joslin who reportedly told him "I want to have some fun. I'm the devil. I want to die You'd better leave and get some help." Joslin, who was an outdoorsman and hunter, then pulled an automatic handgun from his pocket when J.R. Scott jumped into his patrol car and drove to the end of the block where he closed off the street and called for backup. While doing so, 8 bullets were fired at Scott and hit the cruiser. Additional officers responded and ordered Joslin three times to drop his weapon and put up his hands but he did not comply.

Louis Joslin of Saint Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri United States was born on August 24, 1921, and died at age 70 years old on May 8, 1992 in Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, KS.

Ennis S Joslin was born to Andrew J "Andy" Joslin (1869 - 1939) and Lula Philotha Dunn (1876 - 1967). He had sibling Alyne Joslin (1912 - 1991). Eniss Joslin married Margaret Virginia Campbell (1906 - 1999) on December 17, 1931, in Jim Wells, Texas. They didn't have children. After moving to the Corpus Christi, Texas, area in his late 20s, Ennis became an active member of the community. He was a former president and chairman of the board of Central Power and Light Company and the co-owner of the Staples Center shopping mall. He also invested heavily in land. Active in the community, he was a former director and vice president of the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the board of directors of Memorial Medical Center and a member and past president of the Lions Club.
