Marvin and Joel Holcombe taken sometime in the 1930s. Their brother was Emmett Clarence Holcomb who was my great grandfather on my mother's side of the family.

The motto "Vertias et Fortitudo" (Truth in Courage). The wreaths around the head indicate probably Saracens, ancient enmies of Christianty whom the Holcombes oppose.
