Daisy May Hodge Smith
I have an old studio photograph of Daisy May HODGE SMITH which was taken some time in the 1890's or early 1900's. Daisy appears to be about 10 years old at the time the photograph was taken. She is also identified as "Steve's Grandmother" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Daisy and her family:
Daisy May HODGE was b. 1892 in Cazenovia, NY to parents Herbert R. HODGE (b. 1858) and Alice Cornelia WHEELER (b. 1869). Daisy had two siblings including Paul Fred Wheeler HODGE (1901-1978) and Harry Russell HODGE (1906-1920). Daisy married Merritt Allen SMITH (1885-1966) on 25 or 30 Sept 1914 in Chittenango Falls, NY and they had three children including Frances Delilah; Ward Kellogg; and Marjorie A. SMITH, all born between 1915 and 1925. Daisy died in 1973 in Madison Co., NY and is buried in the Nelson Cemetery in Nelson, NY
I am hoping to locate someone from Daisy’s family so that the photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

I am trying to find the family of my Grand father. His name was Mathis Hodge born 06/28/1919. He had one daughter my mother. He died one month after I was born in October 1981. My mother doesn't know much about her father's family. He was married to a woman named Dina or Dena not sure how to spell it. If you are related to Mathis, Please reach out to me

I know my grandmother was raised by Lonnie and his wife M.E. Thompson but was born to Eva and a father named R. Hodge. The story is my grandmother ans her sister were rescued from their father who allowed men to take his daughters as a way to pay off his gambling debts (they were under 5 years of age at the time). I'm not convinced of this as few people remember details that happened when 2 years old until 5 years old and believe this was the story my grandmother and her sister were told when they asked about their father as early 1900s family and friends would often just take the children of a young widow or widower believing they were doing this in the childs best interest as widowed men weren't allowed to keep their daughters if they didn't have a woman caring fro the children and potential wife lined up to resume the mother role; widowed women were presumed unable to provide for children and less likely to be chosen for marriage if burdened with children from another man. I've not been able to find a birth record for my grandmother and have found only a death record for who I was told was her mother Mrs Eva Thompson Hodge who died in 1932 as a result of typhoid after childbirth. Yet I can't find this child and the family stories were it was after my grandmothers birth which is another lie as my grandmother was born in 1920 and typhoid killed in under 12 weeks and Eva's headstone has only her married name and child of L.D. and M.E. Thompson which is also strange because if M.E. was Eva's mother that means she gave birth to Eva at only 8 years of age and of Eva's little brother in late 30s and that young or late of a birth and living was not heard of in the early 1900s. My grandmothers name was Thelma Lurline but I'm not sure that was the name she was born with. I did find a birth record for who I was told was her mother on Choctaw (dawes. Roll ) for the exact same date of birth and born to Lonnie Thompson but mother is listed as G.Thompson so I'm lost and in a state of wondering who was telling the truth and why so many lies especially since my great grandmother Eva Thompson isn't even buried with her family according to cemetery records they only sold a headstone and no one is buried in that ploy

looking for info on William M. Hodge bn abt 1817-1818 KY i first found him in McLean Co,KY in 1860, 1870 in Muhlenberg Co,KY, Webster Co,KY in 1880 (where he died after 1880). His wife Margaret Emily Hodge went to Hopkins Co,KY with remaining children untill she died. Their children are as listed.. I have been searching for years of my family tree...I don't have a lot of information- my fathers name is Vincent Hodge and his fathers name is Raymond Hodge (my grandfather) my great grandfathers name was Austin Frank Hodge- the only thing I really know is that they were originally from Lousiana, and for a time my grandfather was stationed in Germany with the army. He was a sergant there- he faught in both the world war II as well as the korean war. hi my story is so missed up but here goes.
my dad FRANK CARL HODGE,left home in his teens,the story has it that dad and his father got in to a fight because dad did something to were his father was going to turn dad into the police ,so dad was kicked out and never returned home.my dad was 10 years older then my mom when they meet while traveling with the fair, when they went to get married dad told mom he better tell her his real name lol
so the name he was using in the fair was walter bronzeola,
im hoping that dad didnt change his last name to hodge if so hodge isnt my real surname
dods dob 1928, philadelphia,pa????
his parents etc may have moved to detroit,mich
all i have are my photos of his parents and twin sisters
