I am the step-daughter of Ned, though have known him my whole life as dad. Dad lived a life with no remorse, dreamt high and traveled abroad only experiencing a hunger for more that led to new ventures. Life was never boring in our family. Though as awnery as all get out, stubborn and struggled to show his feelings unless it suited him or he was at loss, he was a very good provider. Between him and my mother, at one time there was 8 of us kids...we always had what we needed and then some. Dad didnt lay roots any where, though if there were a place to be named it would have to Tacoma. Wa., where grandma, his mother, resided until 1980 after she passed and he moved on to Hawaii. Dad loved fishing and the ocean! Though due to the lack of work during that time he moved on to Alaska before heading back down to the main USA in 1985. Much more ventures in store...AZ, CA, NV, TX and MO. His hard work and age finally caught up to him when his body started working against him, resulting also with parkensons and dimensia. Dad finally went to his eldest living daughters, cheri, in ID. Where he passed away in his sleep pn January 7, 2014. Dad lived to be 86. To my knowledge, he left behind 3 living daughters (including myself) and 2 sons with a total of 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Dad was single at time of death.
