May Elizabeth Haines
I have an old studio photograph of May HAINES which was taken at the Bayne Studio in Grand Rapids, MI in the 1880's. May appears to be in her teens at the time the photograph was taken. I believe that this may be a photograph of May or Mae HAINES and have gathered the following information regarding May and her family:
Mae Elizabeth HAINES was b. 10 Feb 1870 in Almont, MI to parents Abel William or Willard HAINES (1844-1928) and Eleanor “Nellie” A. EATON (1842-1921). Mae was one of 11 children born to this couple including Willard or Williard “Willie” Harlo; Mae Elizabeth; Ettie or Etta A.; Myra D.; Berton or Burton J.; Carrie or Connie Belle; Mary E.; Vanilla or Verullia or Varilla; Manilla; Abel Willard; and Nellie A. HAINES, all born between 1868 and 1885.
Mae married Charles Manilla STEINBRINK (1867-1954) on 5 Dec 1895 in North Branch, MI and they had three children including Manilla Ruth; Oral; and Raymond Charles STEINBRINK, all born between 1896 and 1919. Mae died in North Branch, MI in 1965.
