ESSENDON COURT.
Ellen Merrifield was charged with using insulting language
at Ascot Vale. Constable Gemmell, stated that he met the
accused on the date in question and she complained of
having lost a magpie. She became very abusive and told
Gemmell that if he did not lose so much time looking after
the ------ Salvation Army, he could find her maggie easy enough. She was fined 10s.
