George Frederick
I have three old photographs belonging to the FREDERICK and BASKE Families including the following:
1 - George FREDERICK taken in the 1900's, appears to be in his 20's or 30's
2 - BASKE family including Emma, Ed, Bertha Pauline, and Charles BASKE taken in the 1900's, all appear to be in their 20's to 40's, standing in front of a building with a sign was says "C. or G. FREDERICK"
3 - four couples including George, Emma, Ed, Eunice, Fred, Bertha, Charles, and unidentified woman all appear in be in their 20's to 40's, stamped on the back of #2 and #3 is the name "Geo FREDERICK"
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding those identified in the photographs:
George Edward FREDERICK was b. 26 Dec 1879 in Charlotte, MI to parents William Harry FREDERICK (1850-1935) and Sarah Ellen WILLIAMS (1856-1901). George was one of four children born to this couple including Maude E.; Archa Wilford; William Peter; and George Edward FREDERICK, all born between 1873 and 1879. Indications are that his mother married a second time and had two additional children including Clark BRYAN (1885-1904) and Bernice B. BRYAN (b. 1901). George married Emma Alma BASKE (1882-1972) on 31 Aug 1901 in South Bend, IN and they had 7 children including Harry Lile; Iva Blanch; Baby Boy; Mildred May; George Edward; William “Billy” Henry; and Pauline June FREDERICK, all born between 1902 and 1926. George died 22 Oct 1960 in South Bend, IN and he is buried in the Highland Cemetery in South Bend.
