I have an old studio photograph of Emma MAGERKURTH which was taken at the Hopkins & Holcomb Studio in Salina, KS. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Emma appearing to be in her teens at the time. I believe that this is the same person who appears in your family tree.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Emma and her family:
Emma Marie MAGERKURTH was b. 8 Jun 1877 in Henry County, IL to parents August Heinrich Ludwig MAGERKURTH (b. 1839) and Anna or Anne Maria or Marie “Mary” GERNANDT or GERNANT (b. 1854) who were married 8 Sept 1867 in Rock Island, IL. Emma was one of 14 children born to this couple including Henry John; Frederick H.; Adolph Heinrich; Johann B.; Johann Friederich Heinrich; Wilhelm; Emma Marie; Louis Frederick; Wilhelmina “Mina” or “Minnie” M.; Margaret or Margaretta “Maggie” Catherine; George Henry; Anna “Annie” H.; and Clara “Collie” Bertha MAGERKURTH, all born between 1868 and 1891.
Emma married John Charles FISCHER or FISHER (1879-1961) and Emma died 30 Oct 1967 and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo, IL.

Russel was one of 9 children born to this couple including Lenta or Lentia M.; Frances M.; Margaret Grace; Anna “Annie” E.; Henry “Harry” Stanley; Ethel Carrie; Florence B.; Muzzy, and Russel FISHER, all born between 1868 and 1889. Russel died 30 Jan 1967 in Dunedin, FL or Detroit, MI and he is buried in the Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum in Dayton, OH. It doesn’t appear that Russel ever married or had any children.

I'm having trouble finding info on my g-g-grandfather, Lewis Benjamin Fisher. He was born in Gaston County, NC in the 1880's and died in 1952. He married Sarah Lenara Starnes and they had 10 children. I need to know his parents names and his family tree. The story goes that one of our ancestors shot a deer in the Kaisers forest in Germany to feed his family. He had to leave Germany or be imprisoned or killed for the offense. That's how we got here, but I don't know when that was. Can anyone help me?
