Martin (shown on Ancestry.com as Fargus) emigrated to Hoboken, New Jersey in 1880, he resided with Patrick & Bridget Rathagen/Rattigen. Martin married Mary Quinn (not sure if in Ireland or USA). They had 2 sons, John, my Grandfather (born 15th June 1891) baptised Our Lady of Grace Church, Hoboken, Martin -shown on birth details as Martin Fargus (Jnr) born 1893, baptised Our Lady of Grace Church. Their Mother died shortly after and Martin Snr brought his sons back to live with his sisters in Bekan. Martin Snr returned to New York in 1903/1904 but I have not managed to trace his whereabouts thereafter. John and Martin (Jnr) applied to retun to New Jersey in 1926/1917 to live with their Aunt Mrs P. Reilly of 700 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Martin Snr was shown on their application forms as Deceased and to have been living in New York City.
John married Margaret Hunt in Bekan and had 4 children, Austin, Martin (nickname Ginger), Margaret and my Father, John - all of whom are now sadly deceased.
