Note: Emeline F. Carpenter's Texas death certificate lists her date of birth as October 24, 1882 and her date of death as May 10, 1967 and says that she was 83 years old. Other official records list her date of birth and death as recorded above and that she was 86 when she died. The informant on her death certificate was Henry C. Carpenter. Her headstone says "October 24, 1880 to May 10, 1967" Emeline F (Fears) Carpenter was born to Gus Fears and Hannah Rusk. She had siblings O.D., Arthur, and Willie Beattria Fears. Emeline Fears married Henry Carpenter. They had a daughter, Hellen A. Carpenter. She was a teacher who began her career in her hometown of Nacogdoches, Texas in 1905 and she taught school for more than 50 years. An elementary school that is named after her was built in the town in 1964. She still holds a place of honor and respect in the community. MY DAD IS ROBERT FEARS BORN 1946 IN DECATUR ILL. TO BEULAH DAVENPORT AND I BELIVE HIS DADS NAME IS ROBERT FEARS SR. HE DIED WHILE MY GRANDMA WAS PREGNAT W HIM DUT TO A WOUMD FROM THE WAR IN 1946. NOTHING IS KNOWN ABOUT HIM MY DAD PASSED THIS YEAR SO ITS HARD TO FIND ANY INFO ABOUT HIS DAD.MY DAD HAS A OLDER SISTER LINDA FEARS AND A HALF BOTHER STEVE DENNING. ALLS I KNOW ABOUT MY DADS FAMILY IS,
HARRY DAVENPORT WAS HIS GRANDPA ,BEULAH DAVENPORT WAS THE DAUGHTER OF HARRY (MY GRANDMA)and harry was a butcher in decatur ill. AND I BELIVE HAD A LADY FRIEND WHO LIVED WITH HIM BY THE NAME OF CLEO REED (READ)?
i belive drake was my grandma beulahs parentS name a W.S. DRAKE IS PART OF MY FAMILY LINE HE DIED IN 1894. MY FATHER HAS A DRAKE BIBLE IVE BEEN TRYING TO DIG UP. BUT ANYONE WITH INFO ON THE FEARS FAMILY DECATUR ILL WOULD BE HELPFUL.
ONE UNIQUE FEATURE OF MY GRANDMA BEULAH MAE DAVENPORT/FEARS/DENNING THATS KNOW IS SHE WAS BORN WITH POLIO AND HAD BRACES ALL OF HER LIFE AND ALSO WAS A NURSE WHO WORKED AT ONE TIME IN ENGLAND. SHE DIED 2000 THE YEAR BEFOR HER HUSBAND WILLIAM LUTHER DENNING PASSED.(BILL) HE HAD A SISTER GENIEVA DENNING AND A BROTHER GEROGE DENNING AND ALSO SERVED IN MILITARY.HE ALSO WAS A BOXER IN THE MIL. I BELIVE NAVY BUT UNSURE. ANYONE WIYH ANY INFO ON ANY OF THESE PEOPLE WOULD BE HELPFUL
