A few hundred years ago some of the Fabers decided to come to
South Africa the reason for this is unknown probaly some religious
dispute. My family and I have been living here as long as anyone can recall.
Most of the Faber family has green-blue eyes, are tall, thin, most of the old people in our family reach a very old age and still retain the brown hair with few grey hairs. Most of us are very spiritual. And know God from a very early age.We are dreamers. What I mean about that is that we litteraly dream...alot!
Our surname is very rare to find I never met anyone with the same surname as we have.I am An Electrical Artisan,my dad was an Boilermaker Artisan,My grandfather was an steam train Artisan. The strange thing is that our surname means some kind of artisan. We are all very good with our hands and are very creative. My father[James Faber] use to paint and do wood work as an hobby. My brother inhereted his skills as did my sister[Natalie Faber].We speak Afrikaans it is a language that mutated off dutch and sounds very alike.Afrikaans is only about two or three hundred years old wich makes it the youngest official language.South africa has lovely weather and I love it here.Arno faber.
