Albert Edgar
I've "rescued" two old photographs belonging to the EDGAR Family of Illinois and Nebraska. The first is a photograph of Albert EDGAR of Chicago, IL. The photograph was taken at the Hultgren Studio in Chicago, likely in the 1880's with Albert likely in his 20's at the time. The second photograph is one of Dora EDGAR which was taken at the Edoff Studio in Saunders County, NE and appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Dora likely in her teens or 20's at the time. Both photographs also include a note which says "Mom's Cousins" so they are clearly connected to each other as well.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the family:
Albert EDGAR was b. 14 Jun 1867 in Ostergotland, Sweden and married Emma Tanquary HOTT or ANDERSON (b. 26 Mar 1870 in Frederick, VA) on 9 May 1896 in Chicago, IL. Albert died 21 Apr 1929 in Chicago, IL and is buried in the Oakhill Cemetery in Chicago. Albert’s wife died before him.
Doris “Dora” EDGAR was b . 1878 or 1879 in Nebraska to parents Adolph Julius EDGAR (1840-1904) and Johanna Mathilda ANDERSDOTTER or ANDERSON (1845-1923). The Couple had 6 children including, Julius EDGAR (1876-1890); Hanna Doris “Dora” EDGAR (1878-1965); and Fred H. EDGAR (1881-1886); Josephine (b. 1887); David; and Ida EDGAR. Doris died in 1965 and is buried in the Morning Side Cemetery in Mead, NE.

This was my dad's uncles' store-cafe, Edgar Cafe. It was located in Defuniak Springs, Florida. Don't know who the girls were but I'm assuming they were family. It was around 1930-1945

of the late Pemberton Campbell Palmer, of Queanbeyan,
N.S.W., to Antoinette Louise, daughter of Henry Edgar-
Glennie ( formerly of the Union Bank of London ), and
grand-niece of the late Hon. Charles Hotson Ebden.
Born in Philadelphia PA, Edward was raised in Ardsley PA and lived most of his life in Doylestown PA. For many years Ed was a pharmacist in Kirchner's Pharmacy and was friendly with many Doylestown-area residents. Later he was the pharmacist for the Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Doylestown.
Annie Robertson (Moodie) Edgar of Coleraine, Southern Grampians Shire County, VIC Australia was born on March 7, 1907 in Seymour, Mitchell Shire County, and died at age 81 years old on January 13, 1989 in Coleraine, Southern Grampians Shire County.
