I believe that Cass Downer married my Great Aunt Mary E Williams. On Sept 1 1904 Cass C Downer and Mary E Williams applied for a marriage licence in Harrison Ohio. His father's name on the application was J J Downer. His mother's name was Elizabeth Beteham. Her age was 17 and his age was 22. My Great Grandparents names were correct. Mark Williams and Anna White. His birth place was listed as Detroit MI iif I remember correctly. I lived with my Great Aunt Mary from the age of 4 to 8 but she went by the name of Mary Hackert. I was surprised that I found this record. The Williams family lived in Harrison Co Ohio and New Athens. This record can be found in "Ohio, County Marriages, 1789-1994" index and image, Family Search. There is a copy of the marriage application to view. My mother never recovered from complications at my birth and I grew up in foster homes. My Aunt Mary was my favorite relative. She was the only one that did not try to beat out my headstrong, independent, stubborn streak that I developed as a child. She always called me her little angel and said I have a good heart. She was the only one that told me that as a child. I do not know if Mary Williams and Cass Downer went through with the marriage. I only know that the license was applied for.in Harrison Ohio.
