Garrison School class, 1966-67, gr 4/5, named
This is a class from Garrison School, 1966-67. The teachers are Miss Kinkaid (2nd from left) and Nettie Thompson (far right) with student teacher also. Please see the other photos I've posted with the same teacher/s at the same school, different years (look under special collections, School Days). Two are id.ed as 4th and 5th grades, so I presume the others are also because of same teachers. I have posted all the names below, starting with front row left to right, then middle row, then back row. I have also added 1 child at the end of the list who was absent on photo day, as the info might help to i.d. the school. This photo was part of a lot of photos received from a person in Kansas, who got them from another person who collected them from numerous estate sales throughout Kansas and Oklahoma.
I did a web search for a Garrison School in Kansas or Oklahoma and there seem to be several. I have written to one. There are also others across the US and Canada. I can't guarantee which one it might be. If anyone can tell me, I would be delighted. I hope the names will give a clue to someone. Also, it may be in the same district or county as a “Cleaveland School” which is mentioned on one of the class photos.

This is a class from Garrison School, 1960-61. The teacher is Miss Kinkaid. Mabel was born in Grangeville, Idaho in 1897. She had seven brothers and sisters. She married Clyde J. Dickeson and they had my mom, Barbara J. Millar(Dickeson). Charles E. Dickeson was their son.
I am Barbara's youngest daughter. Grandma lived with us for seven years to help while Mom went to school and later became a teacher. Grandma taught me how to read, write, and much more before I even went to school. Grandma had been a teacher in a one room schoolhouse in Cottonwood, Id. in the 1920's. She bought the four grandchildren special gifts through mail order. She loved country music and soap operas. She could crochet. She made us Campbells soup, Jello, and cooked many of the meals. She had groceries brought to our house on 15th in Clarkston. Grandma passed just a few years after I married and moved to Spokane.
