Friedrich or Frederick “Fred” Heinrich Wilhelm Ludwig “Louis” GREIMANN was b. 10 Aug 1874 in Hoyleton, IL to parents Christian Ludwig Gottlieb GREIMANN (1833-1891) and Anne Marie Louise AUSSIEKER (1833-1874). Louis was one of 7 children born to this couple including Anna Maria or Marie; Heinrich “Henry” Gottlieb or Christopher; Marie Catherine Elizabeth of Eliese “Lizzie” or “Lissie”; Anna Catherine Sophie Louise; Catherine Lousie Emilie; Carl Friedrich; and Louis GREIMANN, all born between 1858 and 1874.
After his mother died his father remarried Johanna Henriette Altrine “Alvina” KARBACK or KARBACH (1842-1900) and three additional children were born including Carl Freidrich; Gottlieb; and Catherine Louise Margaret or Margarette or Marguerite GREIMANN all born between 1876 and 1883.
Louis married Catherine Louisa DALHAUS or DALLHAUS or DAHLHAUS (1866-1946) on 22 Sept 1897 in Hoyleton Township, Washington Co., IL, and they had 7 children including Alice Alwine Elizabeth; Elda or Elva L. or G.; Paul G.; Clarence Louis “Hap”; Lawrence Christ; Mildred M. M.; and Alexander GREIMANN all born between 1898 and 1911. Louis died 11 Dec 1960 in Greenville or Hoyleton, IL. Catherine had been married previously to Martin OECHSNER (1844-1896) on 1 Jun 1884 in Bond Co., IL and had three children with her first husband including Elizabeth Carolinam; Frederick Christian; and Catherine Louise OECHSNER or OSHNER or OESCHNER, all born between 1889 and 1894.
Catherine Louisa DALHAUS or DALLHAUS or DAHLHAUS was b. 21 Sept 1867 in Illinois to parents Franz Henrich “Frank Henry” or Francis DALHAUS (1830-1901) and Catherine Suzanne RUDOLPH (1832-1874). Catherine was one of 5 children born to this couple including Frank C.; Lissetta Cecilia; Frances Mary; Josephine Christine; and Catherine DALHAUS, all born between 1858 and 1867. After her mother died her father remarried and a son was born, Henry George DALHAUS (1876-1963). Catherine died 15 Feb 1946 in Greenville, IL.
Louis’ half-sister Margaret GREIMANN b. 1883 married Christian Friedrich or Fredrick WEIHE or WIEHE (1872-1946) on 7 Mar 1902 in Centralia, IL and they had four children including Lawrence or Laurence F. G.; Amelia or Emilia Viola; Ester or Esther Elizabeth; and Adelheit or Adeliede Catherine WEIHE, all born between 1903 and 1911.
