James Chango is my grandfather and he was the smartest, kindest, and most wonderful man I ever knew. He taught me a lot when I was growing up, which I now try to do with my own grandchildren. His wife, my grandmother, was Florence Griscavage Chango and they had three children, Theresa, Jean, who is my mother, and Joseph. His father was Joseph Chango who came to the USA from Italy in 1898 where he was known as Giuseppe Ciancone, I don't know the details of the name change, and his wife was Cecedia "Jess" Chango. So far I've been able to trace my family back to the mid 18th century in the town of Fontecchio, province of L'AQUILA, and the Abruzzo region of Italy. I'm still looking for more, so any help would be appreciated. The oldest ancestors I found are Orazio and Lucia Ciancone, my 5x great grandparents, and my 6x great grandparents Saverio Benedetti and his wife Angela Rampini.
