I have read very old books by genealogists about Jane Broughton b. 1510-1570
in the "Chesters of Chicheley" they have John as her father and on another pages they have his brother as his father. Maybe a scriber's error. Found another book THe Virginia Magazine says that John is the father. However, it has different brothers for Jane. Lancelyn and Edward Broughton documented in the Chesters of Chicheley were without issue and left their estates to Jane. Looking for additional records of ALL the CHILDREN of John Broughton b. about 1488. He was married to Ann Sapcott. John died at age 34. His daughter Jane Broughton 1510-1570 married Richard Osborne b. 1510. John's wife married 3 times. 2nd husband a Jennings.
