Visionary Trailblazer and Pioneering Entrepreneur Mark P. Bray, 11/24/1955 – 12/26/2014, age 59, was born, raised and educated in Quincy, MA the son of the late Dr. John Bray & Mrs. Dorothy Bray. Mark was always up for a battle when necessary. While the majority of the time he was the victor, Cancer won this final battle, which he bravely fought with fortitude and serenity. Mark called Sterling Heights, MI his home for 30 years. This is where he raised his sons while maintaining a base of operations that allowed him to run his many business ventures simultaneously. He always found time to participate in many activities: whether it was coaching local sports teams with his sons or being the field trip Father at school events. He was always involved, present and often both the over-protective Father and big kid at heart. He was also a true visionary and a pioneering innovator. He was an entrepreneur who blazed trails where many others wouldn’t dare venture, yet they were always mesmerized by his unique ability to take action on what seemed at the time, to be improbable or even impossible ideas. Most phone calls would begin with Mark saying, “I have this great new idea….” Mark was leading Internet conventions and seminars for a major telecommunications company long before many of their employees had even heard of the internet, both in Detroit, MI and Boston, MA. This was his style, always way ahead of his time. Mark was an old soul and always inspirational. He had an innate wit and rare ability to always be one step ahead of everyone else in the room. With a glint in his eye, he always showed strength and wisdom beyond his years. This dated back to when he first learned to speak and, once he learned to speak…he never stopped! Oh, the many stories he would share with all who would listen. Fifty Shades of Bray. He always knew what was most important in life and he could always be counted on to do what was right. His loyalty to family and friends never wavered and you always knew exactly where you stood with him. Mark always expected those he associated with to perform at their best. He inspired others to achieve their full potential. He was always so well informed and opinionated as to current events that he would force you to be well-prepared if you wished to challenge his position. He is survived by his lifelong partner and fiancée Angela Ditta; his sons Jonathan Bray & Kristofer Bray; his sister Karen (Bray) King & brother-in-law Wayne King of Merrimack, NH; brother Mike Bray of Milford,NH; niece Alexandra King; nephew Nicholas King; as well as many dear friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
