My uncle told me that the name was originally Boileau and our ancestors came from France and traveled to Dublin, Ireland and then to the US.

John Gideon Boiles
Old photo of John Gideon Boiles and his second wife Elmira Cornett. He lived to be 93 and caught pneumonia while caring for the cotton crop in TX! His son in law also caught pneumonia at the same time that he did and died too. His first wife was Mary Ann Cook.
