I've "rescued" an old photograph of Harry BIRD which was taken at the Holler Studio in San Francisco, CA sometime in the 1880's. Harry appears to be in his 30's at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Harry and his family:
Harry BIRD was b. abt 1862 in California and married Margaret BIRD (b. 1868) and together they had 3 children including, Myron; Robert; Harriett BIRD, all born between 1899 and 1909. Harry died 15 Jul 1935 and is buried in the Cypress Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery on Colma, CA.

My father told me about his father Moila Bird, the Bird family from Hawaii in the early 1900's. Ive been looking alot of places for more on the family. If anyone has any details on this Bird family would they please post more!

My Great Grandmother, Edna Sultana Cole didn't know her family on her mother's side. She knew her mother's name was Joanna Bird (unsure of the spelling). Her father's name was Hugh Boyd Cole. They lived around Paris, Texas and Clarksville, Texas in the Red River area. This was around the 1900's. Give or take a few years. When they moved to Oklahoma in the early 1900's her mother grew ill and died on the journey. They buried her near Lawton,OK. If anyone has any information on Joanna Bird or any Bird/Byrd families in that area at that time period I would greatly appreciate any information that may help me find this family.

Looking for info on my grandfather, JOSEPH MARION BIRD. Married Minnie Schwartz in S.F. 1909. The had two daughters, Minnie and Hazel. In 1915 Minnie and Joseph divorced and he soon disappeared. My mother said he would come to see her and cry on the stoop when my grandmother told him "no."
His daughter, Hazel is now 92. I would like to know what ever happened to our Bird when he flew the coop. Joseph's mother supposedly lived in Los Angles. He was a laborer. Sadly that is all I know of Joseph Marion Bird. All efforts have come to a dead end.
