The mugshot of Ralph Bayless. A while back I bought this photo on Ebay as a novelty. I was struck by the subject, as well as the excellent quality of the image, so clear and sharp. I set about to reconnect this image with the family of the subject, Mr. Bayless. I created a public tree at ancestry for him with all the information that I could find. Seems like he had a pretty rough life. If anyone has a family connection to Mr. Bayless, I'm happy to send you the original. Ralph Bayless born 1 MAY 1886, Fort Wayne, IN; died 26 MAY 1937, Fort Wayne, IN. Parents were Absalom Bayless and Mary Feasey. It looks like he had 2 children with his wife Agnes Coolican: Thomas Joseph (1920 - 1910, Littleton, Colorado) and Marzetta Agnes Bayless (born about 1925, married Ray McKinley Scott in Alabama). Richard Harold Bayless is the son of Harold Lester Bayless (1905-1969) and Blanche Bayless. He was born on September 23, 1927 in Illinois, United States and had a brother Jack Ferrell Bayless Sr (Sept 8, 1929-April 6, 2013). They grew up in Lamotte, Crawford, Illinois, USA.

Jean Bayless (29 June 1932 – 5 February 2021) was a British actress. She is best remembered for starring as Maria in the London production of The Sound of Music.
Life and career
Bayless was born in Hackney, London. Her family was evacuated to Blackpool during the Second World War, where she started to take singing lessons. She later trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. Early in her career, she performed in pantomimes at the London Palladium.
In 1955 she was a replacement, starring as Polly in the Broadway production of The Boy Friend (credited as Jo Ann Bayless), and she starred as Maria in the original West End production of The Sound of Music in 1960. She played the role of Cynthia Cunningham in the early 1970s in the soap opera Crossroads. She also performed with Audrey Hepburn in Sauce Tartare.
Personal life
With her husband David Johnson, she had two sons, Daniel and Adam.
She died of bone cancer in Birmingham at the age of 88.
