My grandfather - Alfred Bard worked on the railroad and travelled across Canada. He met Annie Oakley and Wild Bill Cote. He had Bill Cote's pen knife and it has now been passed on to my brother David Bard. My grandfather - Alfred Bard married Annie Hill of Guelph and had five children - four boys and one girl. My father Donald Arthur Bard was the youngest of the five siblings.
My father, Don Bard married Ann Moon of England. Ann moved to Canada when she was 16 with her parents George Moon and Connie Moon (Stanley). My parents had five children - four girls and one boy.
My Uncle Doug had five children - my dads brother. His children had boys to carry on the Bard name. The rest of my dads siblings had girls outside of my brother David who chose not to have children. Our lineage with the Bard name is therefore limited for the future from the few members I know.
