A photo of the Yates brothers, three sons of Darling Barber Yates and Emily Oliver
They were too young for the Civil War. They were hired to be peace keepers at the County Fair after the Civil War. Back row:L-R James Oliver Yates & Andrew Jackson Yates Front row L-R: Johnson (friend) & George Washington Yates.

Darling Barber Yates' close relative in Florida, Needham Yates, claimed credit for bushwhacking the scalawag Orange County Sheriff David Mizell. Beginning of the famous "Barber-Mizell Feud" that claimed 41 victims.
