William Woodford Dale

I have an old studio photograph of William W. DALE of Cedar Vale, KS which was taken at the Al Brown Studio in Independence, KS. The photograph is dated 15 Oct 1886 and is signed "Your Cousin" by William. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding William and his family:

William “Willie” Woodford DALE was b. 26 Nov 1861 in Connersville, IN to parents George Woodford DALE (1819-1891) and Martha Washington GINN (1824-1910) who were married 20 Feb 1840 in Connersville, IN. William was one of 10 children born to this couple including Martin Van Buren; William Thomas; Joseph Gabriel; Charlotte Amanda; Charles Amandas; George Rollin; Indiana “India”; Lilla Josephine or Josephin; William Woodford; and Hannah Mary DALE, all born between 1842 and 1863.

William married Eva Warner BOWHAN or BOWEN (1863-1928) on 7 Oct 1890 in Jackson County, MO and they had two children including Kirke Woodford DALE (1893-1977) and Marjorie DALE GRUTZMACHER (1895-1992). William died 13 Nov 1896 in Cedar Vale, KS and he is buried in the Cedar Vale Cemetery in that city.
