Vera Hardiman migrated to Australia in 1960 on the Sitmar Cruise Ship Castel Felice, which came to Australia via the Suez Canal, with stopover in Port Said and Aden. She attended State Primary Schools in Clayton North and Tecoma, Victoria, before attending St. Thomas More's and Mater Christi College in Belgrave. Vera was fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to attend Boarding school for a year at Lourdes Hill College in Brisbane. She studied at the University of Melbourne, University of Tasmania and Ridley College.
Most of her working years were spent practising law. Her hobbies included songwriting and painting. As far as I know, she is still very actively practising law.
