Grandma didn't write on the back of this photo - so they don't know who he is! Can you help? In any case, he just makes us smile - what a cutie in the 1930's and what a head of curls!

I inherited a box of my Great Aunts family photos. Luckily we showed them to dad’s elderly cousin and she knew most of them. I wrote down the names. So glad we did that. If anybody reading this has old photos and you have older relatives, go see them and ask questions. You’ll be so glad you did and they will enjoy looking back at the photos also.

In my grandmothers bible. There was a picture of a little baby girl in a casket. We don't know who she was. Neither did neighbors! Sure was a sad photo.

If you know anything (names, dates, places) etc. about family members, you can start a search from newest going back to oldest. Many people try to locate info from oldest to newest which is much harder. Census records, newspapers, hospital records, library archives will become your best friends

Thankfully, one of my Grandmothers was very good about putting names on pictures. No dates but always names. She said it was because she had very old photos she inherited with no names so she wanted to make sure she didn't cause the same problem.
