A child playing with Howdy Doody, the main character of "Howdy Doody", an American children's television program. The series was created by E. Roger Muir and produced by NBC.
howdy doody looks scary...lol I had a Mrs Beasley that scared my daughter and niece when they were kids - the zipper didn't work right and she made weird noises. The girls said she was possessed.
Wow! That is awesome you were able to get it and keep it all those years. I'd love to see a picture of yours Jean and Rose Gasak! I just love this kind of stuff.
I LOVED HOWDY DOODY! ! Mom slept from working 3rd shift and my brother and I...locked in her room (gram didn't want to deal with us) while she slept..I love Lucy was on next..ALWAYS!
Didn't they? It's so funny you never hear people from that era say they thought those toys that look like that one or the ceramic dolls, clowns etc., frightened them. I only had soft dolls or plastic ones. They were sweet. Lol.
I had those same cord jumpers, they made sounds when you walked and I thought they were magic and I didn't even know what magic was back then! Thank you for the share*~
society has changed so much in such a short amount of time....Oh I wish my grandchildren could grow up our world. I hate to turn on the tv anymore..... :'(
I remember Howdy Doody. Had to watch it at neighbors as we didn't have a TV. An sweet older couple would call me right before the show came on. They never had kids so they spoiled me.
