Joseph Valentine Knipfing Jr. was born on August 4th, 1930 in Mineola, New York to Joseph "Joe" Valentine Knipfing Sr. (February 14, 1906 - January 28, 1969) and Helen Josephine Wolf (June 29, 1903 - June 12, 1987). Joseph had three siblings, William, George, and Vincent Knipfing. On February 4th 1961, Joseph Knipfing Jr. married Janet B. Klein (December 5, 1938 - October 14, 2020) in Hempstead, New York, USA. They had three children together named Gary, Kevin, and Leslie Knipfing. Both Gary and Kevin are well-known in the entertainment industry.
