From all of us at AncientFaces, we wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas
I love this photo...there is nothing like vintage photos to remind us of the enjoyment so many had with so little. I always say I was born in the wrong era. Thank you for sharing this.
I'd love to see the evidence for this being the case. Personally I think they'd be on Google rather than Ancient Faces! And surely it's better to keep innocent images like this totally normal rather than making them into some sort of taboo? But I also respect your views, and will leave it to Facebook to judge.
There were professional photographers who set up and photographed scenes and sold their work back then, just as they do now. I imagine there are many copies of this image still gracing walls today. Beautifully nostalgic and sweet pic. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas!
Considering the picture appears to be from 1901 and that child is probably no longer alive I’m not sure how it hurts. Wouldn’t post a current one though.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this photo! The only thing inexcusable, is your disparaging comment, for something so sweet. I do hope the warmth of this holiday season melts your cold heart.
You know before I started reading the comments I thought, someone is going to make an idiotic comment about this cute little girl. Well I wasn't disappointed

Photos of the 1900's which brought us from the industrial age to the technological age.
From 1900 through 1999 we witnessed the beginning of flight to a man on the moon and a Mars Rover. We went from using phones tethered by cords and computers that filled rooms, to carrying the equivale...
Those ancestors of ours had a sense of humor - amateurs and professionals!
Based on the solemn non-smiling expressions of our ancestors in old photos, you'd think they didn't have a sense of humor. Well these pictures prove we're wrong. Since it's inception, photography has ...

My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from.
Family is so important, and welcome everyone to discover more about them, their history, and share about their loved ones who make up the history of who we are!
