Compared to larger cities of the time, Albuquerque had a small but mighty Italian population. It's most famous son is Pete Domenici, the state's longest serving Senator from 1973-2009.

They're not pants. They're chaps, which are worn over the pants. They're made of leather. These look like sheepskin.

Moon pictures must have been the 'in' thing around that time period. I have a picture of my ( as a young man) grandfather & his bff sitting on this same moon. (Or it appears to be the same moon)
