I have an old photograph of Emma VAN HORN who is also identified as Grandpa PHILLIPS’ sister. The photograph was likely taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Emma appearing to be in her 40's or 50's at the time. I believe that this is a photograph of Emma PHILLIPS VAN HORN and based on limited research have gathered the following information regarding Emma and her family:
Emma J. PHILLIPS was b. 27 Feb 1852 in Charleston, SC to parents John M. PHILLIPS (1823-1876) and Sarah PETSCH (1823-1876). Emma had two siblings, Julius A. PHILLIPS (1849-1924) and Julia Ladler PHILLIPS (1858-1914). Emma married Willis N. ROCKWELL (1853-1897) on 27 Feb 1878, and they had two children including Achsah or Ascha Beatrice ROCKWELL MCKEAN (1883-1964) and Jennie L. ROCKWELL (1886-1895). Emma was married a second time to Alfred Fremont VAN HORN (1855-1924) on 14 Jul 1909 in East Troy or Williamsport, PA.
Emma died 14 Oct 1933 in West Burlington, PA and is buried in the Hilton Cemetery in Troy, PA.
I would like to get the photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.
