Edward Askew Sothern (1826-1881) Stage actor and comedian born in Liverpool. Early in his career used the stage name Douglas Stewart. Married Emily Frances Stewart in 1846. Died in London 1881 and is buried in Southampton Old Cemetery. He and of his wife had four children, all of which became actors.
